This blog post, in a nutshell, is why I love your work, Michael. All the other cool stuff you put out is icing on the cake. A very heartfelt, "Thank you." for you and your work.
Thanks for this comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the post! It's always fun putting together posts that are perhaps a bit more unexpected and seeing how people react.
Another really great post Michael! I loved what you said (and talked about in Scarcity Brain) relating to having present behaviors focusing on engagement (related to mindfulness) AND long term goals. I’ve heard Arthur Brooks speak a few times in the past few months and his message of happiness being defined by activities that bring pleasure, satisfaction and meaning dovetail well with the ideas you talked to Alex about. The older I get, the more I focus my time on the meaning and satisfaction side of the equation over the pleasure, but it’ll always have to include both.
In my recent push to incorporate both Stoicism and secular Buddhism into my daily life, this interview really hit the sweet spot! Thanks for sharing this!
I'm pretty new here, just subscribed a week or so ago. How or where do I listen to the version that you read? The couple times I've listened it's been the AI. Thanks.

Thanks for the comment. I noticed Arthur Brooks was just on a couple podcasts I listen to. I'll dive in and check out his new book.
