With my wife, we set ourselves the challenge of one week out of two screen-free: no phone, no tablet, no netflix in the evening for 7 consecutive days. Since then, we've gone back to playing board games, inviting friends round and enjoying cultural activities. I'm looking forward to Clearspace for the daytime part.
I’ve been using clear space ever since Michael posted about it earlier this year, absolutely love it and it is totally worth paying a subscription to NOT use my social media apps. Funny thing is I can access those sites on my work computer anytime and yet I have almost no desire to do so nowadays.
For the android users out there an app called "Minimalist Phone" is a great option. It works very much the same without the motivational quote part. But you select which apps you want to limit and each time you use those apps you have to select how long you want to use it for. When your time is up it boots you out or you can select to spend more time... but it forces you to think about it. I've been using it since December and its been very useful.
I'll have to self-report from over here in Green Bubble Land (Android user). I don't have the "interstitial" stuff that Clearspace offers, but I can at least track and set time limits on some apps. :)
At the end it said the challenge was over but didn’t show me the leaderboard and I don’t seem to have a way to view it now. How many of you finished 14/14 days? 😃 I’ve really enjoyed Clearspace. I’ve cut down a lot on social media.
I’m so excited for this but I missed the step where I can skip the regular 7-day trial and get the 2-weeks of the challenge as a trial. Argh! Any way I can reset that on my new account? Thanks!
Got it to work and saw the 2% challenge , however it was only 7days trail then charged from premium so deleted… nothing on it states its would do the trial for the contest period of 2 weeks.

My experience has been similar! I'm glad you've found it useful.
And btw, my iPhone is STILL on grayscale mode after reading your post on how to switch to it! It’ll soon be 1 year straight!

I've been using Minimalist phone for over a year and my wife just started using it as well. Super helpful.
Clearspace checking in. Our servers got bogged down after the newsletter went out but the link is working.
If you've downloaded Clearspace, try clicking the embedded link in this newsletter again
Still not working for me
Hey Rachel - are you on the latest version? You can check by searching clearspace on the App Store and seeing if there's an update available
I figured it out. I had to go to the link from within Substack and not from my email app.
Incredibly helpful! Looks like some email apps were adding to the link, which was causing problems. Now fixed.
Hi Oliver, do you need to have premium to sign up for the 2% challenge?
Nope! The link above will grant you premium for free for the duration of the challenge
Listen up everyone !
If you want to change your life today
Read pages of 238–288 of Scarcity Brain.
I have read many many books. But those pages can change many things in your life.
THANKS MICHAEL.
I can wait for them to get an android version!
Shouldn't run this challenge until there's an android version
Let's do a Minimalist Phone challenge for us Android users. You in?
That does suck as I have a Google Pixel. I guess I'll have to get in on the next one!

The link imbedded in the article is not taking me to the challenge on the app. I requested assistance on the clearspace app side.
We've had a bunch of people join already. Let me check with the Clearspace guys.
For some reason, the app will not load the challenge, no matter what I do.

Hey Chris, try giving it another shot now. Let me know if you still have trouble.

I've been using the Clearspace Chrome extension since I read this and it's been wonderful. I have so much of my mental space back.

It would awesome if you could set up private challenges that schools could use...If it changes 2% of the kids its a win.
Signed up! Seems like a helpful app so far.
