I have really enjoyed my membership to this newsletter. On Saturday, my new rucking bag from GoRuck arrived. The benefit far outweighs the cost. My bag weighs 40lbs for my rucking excursions. It is so much better than the camelbak bag I was using. The most difficult part for me is the impact of the weight/straps on my shoulders. I can endure a long distance walk, but my shoulders are definitely my weak link! Keep reading and rucking (and don’t die)!
I really enjoy 2% and get a lot from reading the content that you so thoughtfully put out there for us. It's kind of funny... This morning I got your email and I also got another email from an influencer who it seemed has copied and pasted some of your email from today and sent it out to his email list. I may not have picked up on it but he didn't change your name or "2%" so it got me thinking. I toggled between the two and I am pretty sure it was partially plagiarized...
So for an extra $178.30 a year over the paid membership I get a "free hat" and "free access" to e-books. If they're "free" , what do I get for the $178.30?? Maybe I need to better understand what "free" means....
Over here in France, rucking doesn't exist. But I find this approach very exciting and full of promise. I say to myself: "what if, whatever journey I have to make, dropping my daughter off at school, walking my dog, going shopping..." I simply take a heavy bag with me? Why not vary the holds and positions for more fun :)
I like the tools. But isn't it too much?
I already train 4x a week in endurance and follow Pavel's Simple & Sinister protocol 5x a week on top of that. I'm preparing for ultra races in extreme environments (Beyond the Ultimate). So I'm wondering. Can rucking be a plus to my preparation, or do I risk crossing the border into chaos, suppressing the recovery capacity of my kneecaps and tendons?
Have you ever written publications about rucking in addition to other demanding sports? Or do you see it as a way of saving time with a complete job for people who don't have time for sports?
In any case, I've subscribed to your newsletters and am devouring past editions.
Loving all of this content -- looking forward to what 2024 brings.
One topic I'd love to see covered is "How to find / interview / search" for a primary care physician who specializes care around metabolic health.
Peter Attia has layed the groundwork on the principles for Improving overall metabolic health (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and Alzheimer's, and emotional health). He's also provided information around health indicators to get tested for such as APOE geneotype (e2,e3,e4), annual DEXA scan, etc
I have yet to find a solid guide or resource on actually how to find the right person to be my primary care physician. Thoughts?

Fantastic. That's what we're after! Enjoy the rucking.
Re: your shoulders. Type rucking in the search bar. I ran a piece on prepping your shoulders for rucking.
Found and read the post. Rucked today...walked to a local park, did the shoulder exercises, and walked home. 1 hr and 10 min. Perfect!!
FYI, I'm finding that most of the links under Best Of are broken. They go to a different domain.
Thanks for the heads up! All fixed.
(The links didn't transition over from a recent migration we did.)
Happy New Year! Did a sandbag finisher (60#), felt my lungs burn, cursed your name, drank water and walked it off. Great start to the year!
Ha! Well done. Sorry I'm not sorry. :)

Thanks for the heads up. Forward the other email if you don't mind. m@twopct.com

Thanks for all your hard work.
Have a nice day,

It may be a bit off-topic but I love your design.

I prefer it because you can use a hip belt and also carry other stuff. Or even use other implements as weights.
